A PEST CONTROL AFFAIR by Rosemary Guzman Hook
Shortly after marrying, an entomologist finds out his wife secretly ordered pest control for their home to combat the Texas tree roaches that keep showing up in their living room. This scientist’s disgust at such blatant insectile infidelity may prove too much for his purist’s perspective, until his wife gives him an ultimatum. Friends inadvertently solve their dilemma, while the husband makes one final demand of his wife.

A writer and storyteller, Rosemary Guzman Hook won London’s Moth StorySlam in 2022 and Houston’s Moth StorySlam in 2020. Rosemary is currently auditioning actors for her second Frontera Fest play, “A Pest Control Affair,” about the amor between a man and his bugs. Her first Frontera Fest production launched in 2020 with “The Mystery of the Plaid Shirts” about the sartorial journey of her late husband’s god-awful attire. Follow Rosemary at WritingsByRosemary.com as she completes her first novel, “In the Land of Oz” about love, loss, and the surprises we learn in between.
