Christine Hoang is a Vietnamese American screenwriter, playwright, actor, and producer whose stories are centered on Southern BIPOC characters trying to find their way.
In 2015 Christine became a ScriptWorks member. She is grateful for the support she’s received from ScriptWorks over the years including Revision Resource grant funding for both her musical ROMEO AND KATRINA and her comedy FLY GIRL as well as a FronteraFest commission for her one-woman show BODY OF WORK about female body image.
She’s a WarnerBros Discovery 150 Artist (2022), Unlock Her Potential mentee of Brian Yorkey (2022), Yes And Laughter Lab Winner (2022), WarnerMedia 150 New Orleans Film Society South Pitch Winner (2021), Kennedy Center Playwriting Intensive Fellow (2021), Meryl Streep’s The Writers Lab Fellow (2020), and Tribeca Film Institute Alumna (2020), AT&T and Tribeca Untold Stories Finalist (2020), Austin Film Festival Pitch Finalist (2019, 2017), Austin Critics Table David Mark Cohen Best New Play Winner (2017).
Born and raised in New Orleans and now based in Austin, Christine is also a mom, wife, and recovering lawyer. Christine is represented by Carolina Alduey at 3 Arts Entertainment.
