ZANDER THE GREAT vs. KING TETHERBALL

Struggling to find control in a world that includes a mom that works nights and a mentally ill father that prefers living on the streets, 11-year-old Zander is determined to dethrone Tony, King Tetherball, no matter what the cost. Because everyone knows that once you are King, life is easier. Or, is it?

A play about young people for both young (9 years +) and older audiences. One Act, approx. 60 minutes.

Allison Orr Block received an MFA in Drama and Theatre for Youth (with an emphasis in Playwriting) from The University of Texas at Austin. Produced plays include: The Nerve of Some People, Packing Memories, Normal, and Waiting for Mother.
