WHETHER OR NOT
by Michael Michaelian and Mark Callum
Whether or Not is a two character comedy set in London about a 30 year English gay relationship told backwards in time from the death of one partner to the couple’s first meeting in Trafalgar Square. It is very loosely inspired by a somewhat true story and will feature Dennis Bailey and Alan Lester.
Michael Michaelian is a member of the Writers Guild of America and the Dramatists Guild and has had a long career as a screenwriter. A partial list of TV series he has written for includes episodes of Kung Fu, Hawaii 5-0, Charlie’s Angels, Dukes of Hazzard, and Star Trek, the Next Generation. His long form TV movies and miniseries include “Roughnecks” for MPC, “Miracle in the Wilderness” for TNT, and “The Black Fox” for CBS. His two produced plays are an adaptation of Christopher Isherwood’s A Single Man at the Greenwich Theatre, London, and Fertility Rights at the Arizona Theatre Company. He had a salon reading of Dynamo from Dallas, a play based on the life of Judge Sarah T. Hughes. Whether or Not is his fourth play.
Mark Callum is a resident of London and recently retired from a 30 year career at the BBC. Whether or Not is his first play.
