It’s 2054 and Ellie, a young woman who has grown tired of dating humans, is trying her luck with a personal android named Max. As the couple become closer she’s forced to confront the big questions: What is love? What does it mean to be alive? And are the robots really out to destroy us? STARCROSSED, an expanded version of a short play performed at this year’s FronteraFest, combines humor and drama to explore love and life in a time of advanced AI.
Andy Tate‘s first play – a 25-minute version of STARCROSSED – was one of this year’s Best of Fest picks in this year’s FronteraFest, supported by a Scriptworks commission. The Long Play version of STARCROSSED is his first full-length script.
