SEPTEMBER SALON
THERE’S NO SAND ON THE MOON by Pablo Muñoz-Evers
September 25th at 6:30 PM
Hyde Park Theatre, 511 W. 43rd St.
A family of refugees flees a war-torn country in the wake of a violent revolution. They board a ship whose captain promises to take them to a new home and a new life. The captain, however, has his own agenda, and there is more to the ship than meets the eye. THERE’S NO SAND ON THE MOON is a magical realism tale about displacement, belonging, sacrifice for one’s loved ones, and hope.

Born in Cali, Colombia, Pablo Muñoz-Evers is in love with magical realism, but enjoys experimenting with other genres as well. When he’s not writing, Pablo acts in plays and films around Austin, Texas, and teaches English Language Arts to high schoolers. He can currently be seen playing Hamlet at the Curtain Theatre with The Baron’s Men. He has also lived in 5 countries and loves to travel.
