Hyde Park Theatre, 511 W. 43rd St.
In a cave that folds time, a cavepainter paints the stories of those who get lost. Some are lost in guilt, some in grief, shame, queer-longing, career, or the dark hard parts of creating art. They are all alone – until someone starts to mix up the paintings.
Briandaniel Oglesby has his MFA in Playwriting from UT who writes plays for teenagers for a living. He runs the theatre department at Appamada school, developing experimental plays with young actors. These plays have been published by Uproar Theatrics, Stage Rights, and Stage Partners, and have been produced throughout the country – and in Canada and China. His plays for mature audiences include his full-length play SMALL STEPS, which started as a ScriptWorks’ Out of Ink short before being developed at the JAW Festival, Playwrights Week at the Lark, and B Street Theatre New Comedies Festival. Shrewd Production presented the World Premiere in Austin with the support of ScriptWorks Finer Point Funding.
