  • Sunday, July 11- The Fabulous Monika Bustamante's The Only Children at Carousel Lounge. Post-show Cupcakes by Delish, music by Whiskey Priest!
  • Friday, July 16 - The Brilliant Sarah Saltwick's Low-Hanging Stars at Eponymous Gardens, with post-show pizza by Spartan Pizza and music by The LateJoys!
  • Friday, July 23 - The Self-Promoting Jenny Connell's There Be Dragons at Blue Theatre, post-show Barbecue and Live Music (TBD)!

The deadline for 3rd quarter Seed Support applications is July 10th. Seed Support is funding given directly to members to assist in the development of new work. Guidelines and application are available here.

ASW Benefit Performance of The Virgin with 10,000 Arrows

July 18th, 2:00pm Austin Playhouse, Larry L. King Theatre Penn Field, 3601 S. Congress Ave. Debutantes & Vagabonds, an Austin non-profit theater company, proudly presents the theatrical premiere of The Virgin w/ 10,000 Arrows written by member Jason Tremblay and directed by Francisco Rodriguez.The production received funding from ASW's Finer Point Fund for new play production and to help us replenish the fund, D&V is donating proceeds from the July 18th matinee to Austin Script Works. Tickets are $15 for general admission and $12 for students and starving artists.

Capital Repertory Theatre: Firestorm Series

Deadline: August 30, 2010 The Arts Center of the Capital Region and Capital Repertory Theatre, both located in the Capital Region of upstate New York, are seeking new works for The Firestorm Series, a collaboration between the two organizations. Short plays dealing with social issues that are likely to fuel discussion and debate (i.e. war, sexism ,corporate greed, etc.) will be considered for readings by professional actors during the 2010/2011 season.
