FAILTE by Meg Haley
Sunday, January 30 @ 6:30pm
State Theatre, 719 Congress Ave.

Failte is the story of Sean, young man struggling to find out who he is in the midst of residual tensions in Belfast, Northern Ireland, 1988. He has to sort through family secrets, a job that makes him a traitor and being betrayed by the one he loves. Will he choose to protect the stories of the past that had been hidden from him so long, or fight to save his chance for a future family that also may be full of lies?

Meg Haley is a 2006 graduate of St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN where she was an English and Theatre major.  While in school, Meg interned at the Playwrights’ Center in Minneapolis, was the Director of Arts and Crafts for Campfire USA Camp Tanadoona, and served as director/producer of a troupe of college students performing issue-based vignettes for middle school children. Since graduation, she has re-located to Austin Tx and been a supervisor at Starbucks, a Teaching Artist with the Austin non-profit Theatre Action Project, and got her online teaching certificate for middle school English and Theatre before realizing how much she loves Montessori! Meg currently spends her mornings writing and works with 3-6 year old children at Austin Montessori School, in the afternoons. She is always looking for new and exciting ways to use her passion for storytelling!
