KEEP ME COMPANY is an irreverent ode to the shit-show that is “adulting” in your twenties. Emily, Elena, and Becca meet every Friday night to drink beers and swap stories on the porch, yet their weekly ritual is in jeopardy as the three friends start to find different avenues for personal growth. This change, accompanied by an unexpected, lurking visitor, calls into question the stability of their chosen family. KEEP ME COMPANY holds sacred the stories we tell ourselves, the stories we tell each other, and the stories that shape where we call home. The play originated and developed as part of ScriptWorks’ summer workshop “Dreaming a Play: Fast First Draft” with playwright Caridad Svich.
