ATTENDEES ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO WEAR MASKS  IN THE INTIMATE CONFINES OF HYDE PARK THEATRE

A MILLION MORE TO GO traces a group of nameless vote-counters in an undisclosed location who’ve been hired to re-count all the votes in a recent election, with an obviously biased sense of who should come out ahead. Over the course of a few days, a sense of claustrophobia and paranoia takes over as manager T oversees a couple of worker bees, R and S, just as an enigmatic new employee named V starts asking too many questions. Meanwhile, a guy named Chuck stands menacingly on guard in the corner with a rifle — until he suddenly and mysteriously disappears. The play originated and was developed as part of ScriptWorks’ summer workshop “Dreaming a Play: Fast First Draft” with playwright Caridad Svich.
