LIZARDS, a love triangle, explores how we change depending on who we are with, the intensity of certain emotions that trigger our lizard brains and make us a little crazy, and how and when we hide ourselves from ourselves and from each other.

Marla Porter lives in Austin, Texas, and is an editor by day and playwright by night. She is a proud member of ScriptWorks, the Dramatists Guild, and the Playwrights’ Center. In addition to four years of self-producing her work for FronteraFest, Austin’s annual five-week winter play festival, her plays have appeared in the Austin legs of the 14/48 and One-Minute play festivals, TILT Performance Group’s Flip Side Redux, Baytown Little Theatre’s The Other Side short play festival, the Geneva Theatre Guild’s Playwrights’ Play Readings series, and her play MISS WINNIE has been accepted for a spring 2022 production in the Ten Below Short Play Festival in Ohio.
