GULF by Seth Beaugh
Sunday, September 24 at 6:30 PM
Hyde Park Theatre, 511 W. 43rd St.

Aidan, a musician, who lives in Austin and Selena, a nursing student, met over Twitter, after discovering they both have the same sense of weird, sardonic Internet humor. They hit it off instantly, and their DMs quickly evolve from swapping memes to swapping nudes. They’re content in their long-distance digital situationship until Aidan tells Selena he’ll be passing through town once his tour ends. Soon, their feelings are tested as the two try to connect (or disconnect) in real life, forcing both of them to face some uncomfortable truths. GULF is a two-hander about communication, loneliness, and modern love.
